Mostly so I actually have something written down in namespace that I can point back to.
- Adora and Catra making with the kissy-face.
I think Adora/Catra's going to end up some kind of canon, if only because Noelle Stevenson has been doing a lot of teasing and I'd like to believe that she's has been around wanky fandoms enough to have at least a vague notion of how completely batshit they can get if they feel cheated, but I really do want a proper, full on kiss, complete with Adora getting to turn 'this isn't because I like you' back on Catra like the little shit she is.
I'd also accept a desperate 'we gonna die' kiss initiated by either of them (though preferably Adora) followed by Catra saying completely sincerely 'This isn't because I hate you' then cold-cocking Adora so she can try to sacrifice herself like a dumbass.
Or flash-back kisses to establish they once did the do followed later by flash forward kisses to show they're in a better place. Not a wedding though, because if there are two people who shouldn't get married without a nice long conversation about the existence of the concept of divorce beforehand...
- Adora's issues getting some real narrative focus.
You'd think this was a gimme, especially given the season synopsis, but a lot of Adora's trauma gets backgrounded because it's subtler than Catra's big dramatic breakdowns, and it can be a little less subtle, just saying.
- Catra gets her head on straight.
MAKE BETTER CHOICES, CATRA
- Catra and Glimmer get off Horde Prime's ship at least halfway into the season (possibly even earlier) so everyone can be v. v. Awkward with each other.
There's a lot of dramatic potential in Glimmer and Catra being up on Horde Prime's ship, both in terms of exposition on his plans (Horde Prime seems the kind of dude who'd perform for his blank clone drones if he didn't have another audience, but he's probably the only one who'd enjoy that), and in helping Catra realise that 'gosh, it's not that fun being the Adora in a funhouse mirror version of the dynamic they grew up in', but there also a lot of stuff that can be mined in Catra (and Glimmer to a lesser extent) having to try and fix what they done fucked up.
And having more episodes for that also allows for them to try and fail (and try again) at fixing things, because some things don't fix easy. (Also allows room for fraught closet makeouts while trying to figure out how to be friends again, A GIRL CAN DREAM)
- Shadow Weaver very much does not die but gets a Khylen-esque ending where she's alive, if she gets redeemed it's dubious at best, but Adora and Catra get some catharsis and closure over her being a shitty parent to them.
Let's be real, if either Catra or Adora actually, sincerely wanted Shadow Weaver dead, she would already be dead, and neither of them would've had to get their hands dirty in the process. They want her to be their fucking parent in the ways that matter (love, respect, and also to not be fucking terrified of her, that would be nice) Adora would probably prefer her to be an extremely absent parent, but details.
- if the Magicats show up, some nice, dashing kitty lady gets heart eyes and decides to sweep Scorpia off her feet.
Because Scorpia deserves nice things, and Catra trying and failing horribly at attempting to be A Good Bro over it would be funny.
And, because I have it up to here with both (increasingly anti-ish) sides of the Catradora incest discourse, my some people just want to watch the world burn ending of Adam showing up, Catra being a jealous little idiot, and Adora declaring she loves both her siblings right before kissing Catra. With tongue.
